Château de Saint-Aubin sits quietly along the Route des Grands Crus in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, surrounded by some of the world’s most revered vineyard plots. Our stay here felt like stepping into the living fabric of Burgundian wine culture - with its vine-covered slopes and centuries of craft embedded in the landscape.
Here, wine and place are inseparable. The estate farms parcels in Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, producing precise Chardonnay and refined Pinot Noir shaped by limestone soils.
We spent our days exploring neighbouring villages and returning for on-site tastings and relaxed dinners in the nearby wine bistros. Our room was simple and elegant, with vineyard views and the quiet that only a small Burgundian village can offer.
In our opinion, Château de Saint-Aubin is ideal for travellers seeking an authentic and intimate Burgundy experience. We left with a deeper appreciation for terroir - and a strong desire to return.
