Hotel Ansitz Plantiz

A 1277 wine cellar and rooftop hot tub with mountain views

From ISK 55,156 / night Book now

Ever wondered what’s it like staying in a wine-focused luxury spa retreat? Then we advise you to book a night or two at Hotel Ansitz Plantiz and it will guaranteed satisfy your curiosity.

Resting among alpine gardens in Merano, this 5-star gem wraps around a heated year‑round pool. It features 50 elegant rooms and suites - some that even come with a private infinity pool!

But it’s the wine that plays the star role here. Barrel‑lined cellar tours and tasting sessions in the "Deep Cellar" (dating back to 1277) lead into evenings sipping fine Merano wines in the garden restaurant or cigar lounge. Throughout your stay the house sommelier ensures every pour reflects the region’s terroir.

Beyond wine, there’s also wellness. Offering a sprawling spa with indoor/outdoor pools, Finnish and bio saunas, Turkish baths, plus a rooftop hot-tub terrace framed by mountain vistas.

All-together it creates one of South Tyrol’s most heartfelt and complete wine-and-wellness escapes.
