We instantly loved
Zeit bei Sauerweins before we had even unpacked, simply because the concept is so clean: modern rooms, a working family winery, and vineyard views in every direction. In Palzem, right on the southern Moselle near Luxembourg, the house is directly connected to the Sauerwein family’s winery and redesigned wine house, with a vinothek and dedicated tasting room built right into the stay. That makes the whole place feel less like a hotel and more like being quietly folded into local wine life.
What stayed with us most was the location. This is the Dreiländereck, where Germany, Luxembourg and France nearly brush shoulders, so one wine weekend can very easily turn into a cross-border itinerary. And yet the strongest argument for staying put is right outside the balcony: those vineyard views over the Moselle, and a glass of Sauerwein in hand.
