Experience luxury camping in East Sussex, but with a wine twist! At Oastbrook Glamping, vineyard life comes with king-size beds, firepits and a glass never too far away. Set on Oastbrook Estate near Bodiam Castle, this is glamping for people who like the idea of canvas, but not the idea of suffering. Each boutique bell tent comes with its own firepit, real bed, and access to private luxury shower rooms... All while the estate’s award-winning wines can be ordered straight from the winery and even chilled in the onsite wine fridge. And yes - apart from the unique accommodations - it's the wine side that lifts it above a standard countryside stay. Oastbrook is a working vineyard producing still and sparkling wines, and guests can join vineyard tours and tastings led by the co-owner-winemakers themselves. National Geographic even named it one of the UK’s 10 best glamping sites for foodies, thanks to its location, tours and wine-pairing angle. What really sells it is the contrast: vineyard tastings by day and alfresco cooking on your own Weber BBQ by night. Also worth mentioning is the perfect location, with Bodiam Castle just a short walk away. We love this place! Read moreGuest rating: 9.0 (superb)Price from: THB 5,639 /night

At Oastbrook Estate Vineyard, English wine country comes with a little more personality than usual. Set in East Sussex’s Rother Valley, near Bodiam Castle, this boutique estate has built a name around award-winning still and sparkling wines. Guests staying here can enjoy owner-led vineyard tours and the kind of hands-on wine experience that feels genuinely personal rather than mass-produced... Tastings are led by the co-owner-winemakers themselves, which gives the whole visit a more intimate, story-rich edge. The wines have plenty of talking points too. Oastbrook produces bottles such as Pinot Meunier and White Pinot Noir - not exactly the most predictable English-wine lineup, which is part of the fun. Tours run through the vineyard before landing in the tasting room, often with local cheese, biscuits and chutney alongside the wines. And then there is the setting. Guests can stay on the estate in its now rather famous Round Door Cottage, Avalon lodge or luxury glamping, which makes this far more than a simple tasting stop. For us, this is the kind of address that works brilliantly for wine lovers who want Sussex with substance, scenery, and a warm welcome. Perched on a breezy ridge in East Sussex, the Tillingham occupies a former hop farm reimagined as a winery, restaurant and guest retreat. It feels at once rustic and deliberate - a place where fermentation, farming and design coexist with an easy, slightly bohemian confidence. Old agricultural buildings meet modern additions, and gravel paths connect barns, cellars and gardens - while vines ripple down the slopes beyond... The winery's grapes are farmed with biodynamic principles and handled with minimal intervention, yielding skin-contact whites, pét-nats and small-batch of still wines. Tastings are held in the airy tasting room or out on the terrace. Guests can even try their cider, beer and even sake - brewed on site - which further proves the estate’s obsession with fermentation. When it comes to the accommodation, they are distinctly grown-up (it is an adults-only property, after all). Rooms in the farmhouse and converted outbuildings favour limewashed walls, raw timber, wool throws and vineyard views. No televisions, no distractions. Part working farm, part winery and part culinary destination, Tillingham draws an eclectic, design-aware crowd seeking something unique. It's not a resort, nor a conventional hotel - and that’s precisely the point. Read moreGuest rating: 9.0 (superb)Age limit: 18+ yearsPrice from: THB 9,775 /night

Perched above the Cuckmere Valley in the South Downs, Flint Barns offers something quietly special - vineyard hospitality with soul. Once a 19th-century farm building, now a beautifully restored boutique stay, it blend rustic charm with simple, refined comfort. The rooms are warm and unfussy, the views stretch across sunlit slopes of vines, and the stillness is something you feel right away. Of course, the wine is the headline here... Rathfinny’s sparkling wines - crafted using traditional methods - are among England’s best. Tastings at the estate’s Cellar Door are relaxed but informative, and the experience deepens when paired with a long lunch or dinner at the estate’s dining spaces, where local ingredients meet elegant plating and thoughtful pairings. It’s not flashy - it’s better than that. It’s grounded, graceful, and made for people who genuinely love wine and place. Read moreGuest rating: 8.8 (fabulous)Price from: THB 7,933 /night
