When we arrived at
Hotel Villa de Ábalos, we were struck by the quiet beauty of the 17th-century stone house and the sense of history in every detail. Lovingly restored by the Sáenz de Samaniego family, it’s a place where tradition and hospitality blend effortlessly.
Our room was cozy and full of character, with wooden beams and views of the village and surrounding vineyards. Mornings began with a homemade breakfast, while evenings ended with glasses of the family’s own wine, perfectly paired with regional dishes in the restaurant.
We loved how easy it was to explore Rioja from here and return to such a welcoming base. If you want warmth, authenticity, and great wine in one stay, this is the spot to book.
