KABAJ Wine & Dine sits in Goriška Brda, Slovenia’s rolling borderland of vines, and does something many winery stays only promise: it makes the wine the main event from the first sip to the last course. The Kabaj Morel estate has been named among the top 100 wineries in the world four times by Wine & Spirits, and its most distinctive bottle, Amfora, is made in qvevri, the buried clay vessels used in Georgia, the cradle of viticulture.
The stay itself is intimate, with six big, sunny double rooms, while the restaurant leans into old Brda recipes touched by Mediterranean, Friulian and Habsburg influences.
