We spent a few days at the adults-only Black Estate B & B, and it felt like stumbling upon a local treasure. Situated beside the vines in Central Otago, this charming B&B blends boutique comfort with honest kiwi hospitality.
Our room was bright and welcoming, with vineyard views and modern touches that felt inviting rather than fussy. Mornings began with a hearty, home-cooked breakfast, followed by private tastings of their handcrafted Pinot Noir in the cozy cellar.
In the evenings, we enjoyed quiet moments on the deck with a glass of wine, savouring the sunset over the vines. Warm, personal service-and a genuine passion for wine-made Black Estate feel more like staying at a friend’s beautiful home than a commercial hotel. A wonderfully authentic stay we'd happily experience again.
