The fun of staying at
Ryad de Vignes "Le Val d'Argan" is that it sounds almost improbable. A vineyard ryad near Essaouira? In Morocco? And yet that is exactly what makes it so compelling. Guests stay beside the winery property, within walking distance of the tasting room and vineyard, which already gives it a very different energy from the standard coastal-riad escape.
We also love the idea that this place opens a different door into Moroccan wine. Instead of medinas and mint tea alone, you get vines, poolside calm and an Atlantic-side wine country angle that many travellers do not even realise exists. The property itself keeps things relaxed, with a garden and outdoor pool, and for us that unusual mix is exactly the point: part wine trip, part Essaouira detour, and much more memorable because of it.
