Capofaro Resort is located in breathtaking settings on the island of Salina, in the Aeolian archipelago. Our recent stay here felt like discovering a secret suspended between the sea and sky. The minute we arrived we were met by orderly rows of Malvasia vines that slope gently toward the cobalt Mediterranean, with the volcanic cone of Stromboli flickering on the horizon after dark.

The Tasca d’Almerita family cultivates Malvasia delle Lipari on these sun-baked terraces, producing the island’s famed aromatic sweet wine - alongside crisp whites shaped by salt air and volcanic soils. Walking through the vineyard and tasting the wines on the terrace was truly a memory for life.
Afternoons slipped by at the infinity pool facing the sea, followed by long dinners at the Michelin-starred restaurant, where local capers, citrus and seafood echoed the surroundings. Our room was perfect - white and breezy, and opened to vine rows and endless blue.
In our opinion, this is the perfect place for anyone looking for a remote, elemental and luxurious wine stay. We left sun-warmed, salt-kissed and already plotting a return. Read more
