After reading so much praise for
Relais Sant’Uffizio Wellness & Spa, our expectations were high-and this Piedmont gem more than lived up to them. Set in a former 17th-century monastery in the heart of Monferrato wine country, the property is surrounded by vineyards and hazelnut groves as far as the eye can see.
What truly set our stay apart was the atmosphere of quiet elegance, where history and comfort come together effortlessly. Mornings began with slow breakfasts overlooking the gardens, followed by wine tastings featuring local Barbera and Nebbiolo. The spa, set in the monastery’s old cellars, offered a peaceful escape with its thermal pool and herbal steam baths. Evenings were spent dining at the Michelin-starred restaurant, where every dish told a story of the region. We left with full hearts, relaxed minds - and already longing to return.
