Costa di Bussia rises on the hills between Barolo and Monforte d’Alba and is the kind of place that makes wine lovers weak at the knees. The estate's history is tied to Luigi Arnulfo, who founded the winery in 1874 and helped push Barolo into wider markets long before that was standard practice. Expect vineyard walks, cellar visits, generous tastings and the sort of views that make every glass taste even better.
The rooms are calm and comfortable rather than flashy, but that is hardly a problem when the real luxury is stepping straight into one of Piedmont’s most iconic wine settings. Some rooms even come with hot tubs facing the vines, which is a very good way to end a tasting-heavy day.
Come here if you want the full Barolo fantasy: serious wine, rolling hills, deep history and that glorious feeling of being exactly where you are meant to be.
