Somewhere between wine relais, design hideaway and vermouth revival project,
Borgo Isolabella carves out its own lane. Set in Loazzolo beside the Isolabella della Croce winery, it folds into a world of steep-slope viticulture. Guests can experience estate tastings and a revived vermouth tradition whose roots go back to a Moscato-based recipe first launched in 1870.
The accommodation is small-scale and well judged: seven residences, split between rooms and apartments, with natural materials, bright bathrooms and a restrained style that lets the landscape do plenty of the work. The apartments add extra freedom, while the saltwater pool brings the kind of slow-afternoon temptation that can derail all sightseeing plans.
Go here if you want a Piemonte stay that feels less obvious than the big-name vineyard addresses - elegant, a little unexpected, and fully committed to the art of drinking well.
