Our stay at
Antica Dimora Dosio was one of those rare Piedmont moments where the setting almost steals the show from the wine - almost. Perched in La Morra, one of Barolo’s most beloved villages, this adults-only boutique hotel sits on the highest hill among the vineyards on Serradenari. That gives the whole place a wonderful sense of altitude, light and perspective - and yes, the views are every bit as spectacular as you’d hope.
We loved how the rooms balance warmth and elegance. Each one has its own personality, panoramic views over the Langhe, and even a fireplace, which makes the whole stay feel especially inviting after a day of tasting. The house itself has deep roots too: the original farmhouse dates back to the 1700s, before becoming the heart of Dosio’s wine production in 1974.
And La Morra is not just pretty - it is central to Barolo’s story. Today it is one of the denomination’s most important communes, known for elegant Nebbiolo and vineyard history woven into every hillside. Back at the hotel, that connection continues with wine experiences, a panoramic pool and a food concept built around creative takes on Piedmont tradition. What more could you ask for from one of Piedmont's absolute best wine hotels?
