Canada’s wine story may not stretch back centuries, but
Magnetic Hill Winery shows just how compelling it has already become. Set on a hillside near Moncton, this beautifully restored 1867 farmhouse combines vineyard views, understated elegance and a strong sense of place.
The welcome here is one of the things that lingers. A chilled bottle of the estate’s white wine waiting in the room set the tone immediately - warm, thoughtful and genuinely personal. The rooms themselves balance heritage details with modern comfort, with fireplaces, immaculate bathrooms and windows looking out over the vines.
But in our opinion, the best part is the on-site winery - set only steps away from your room, which makes the wine experience feel naturally woven into the stay. Tastings focus on both traditional wines and fruit wines, offering something a little different from more established regions. One of the many highlights was sitting out on the deck with a charcuterie plate and a glass of estate wine, with the vineyard in front of us and Moncton below.
