Hotel Bodega el Moral feels wonderfully removed from everyday life. Set among vineyards in rural Extremadura, the hotel occupies a handsome 19th-century cortijo built around a traditional central courtyard. There are only 11 rooms, all overlooking either the vineyards or courtyard, plus a large outdoor pool for hot summer afternoons.
But most importantly for us, this is a truly genuine winery hotel. Guests can tour the bodega, taste the estate wines and book wine-focused stays that include dinner and other experiences. A great choice if you want to discover a less obvious Spanish wine region without sacrificing comfort.
