There is something very satisfying about a wine estate that does not stop at rooms and tastings, but throws in a campsite, a pool, an outdoor gym and a restaurant doing six-course menus if you ask nicely.
Saxida Wine Estate, in Zalošče in the heart of the Vipava Valley, has exactly that kind of range. The family farm says its superb vineyard positions are the foundation of the wines, and the wider estate turns that into a full countryside escape.
The result is more playful than many wine stays. You can do vineyard views and local wines, yes, but also camp among the vines, lounge by the pool or settle in for a serious meal where tradition meets modern touches. Not every wine estate manages to feel this relaxed and this complete at the same time.
