The cottage itself is wonderfully comfortable, with two bedrooms, a living area, kitchenette, fireplace, terrace and outdoor seating - ideal for couples or a small group wanting a proper wine-country base rather than a conventional hotel. Bannock Brae is especially known for handcrafted wines, including Pinot Noir, Riesling, Grüner Veltliner and rosé, and the nearby Bannockburn Sluicings and Lake Dunstan Trail add just enough adventure between tastings. For us, this is the kind of place where one night will almost certainly feel too short.
