Tenuta San Marcello feels genuinely personal. The owners left Milan to build a new life in the Marche countryside, and today the estate combines a small agriturismo, osteria and winery surrounded by vines. We were especially drawn to the focus on local grapes: Lacrima di Morro d’Alba and Verdicchio, grown organically and fermented spontaneously, with some wines even aged in Georgian qvevri. There is also a beautiful saltwater pool overlooking the hills. For wine lovers who enjoy discovering lesser-known Italian regions, this one really stands out.
