Borgo Capietaglio Wine Resort takes the old-stone village fantasy and gives it a wine-country setting. In Val Pontida, near Bergamo, the property is built around an ancient settlement whose origins date back to the thirteenth century, now reworked into a resort with rooms, spa, restaurant and winery.
The wine side comes through Tellurit, the estate label born here, but the bigger appeal is how everything sits together. Lunch, tastings, the vineyard backdrop and the restored borgo all feel part of the same idea rather than separate attractions trying to share one address.
The mood is celebratory without getting loud. Come for a tasting, stay for dinner, and the whole place starts to make a very convincing case for not leaving too quickly.
