Château de Fontanges

Centuries of château character make a compelling base for Marcillac wines

From $ 150 / night Book now
Six centuries of history give Château de Fontanges plenty of atmosphere. Just outside Rodez, the château has 47 individually designed rooms and suites, with old stone, towers and period details mixed with a much more contemporary hotel feel.

For wine lovers, the attraction is really the location. The château sits on the road towards the Marcillac valley, whose small vineyard stretches between Rodez and Conques and is known for its distinctive Mansois grape. There are 13 cellars along the local wine route, making Fontanges a very appealing base for discovering one of France’s lesser-known wine regions.
