At
Vineyard Cabins at Château Puynard, Bordeaux gets a refreshingly low-key rewrite. Instead of château formalities and polished wine-country theatre, you get three beautifully crafted cabins set on a gentle slope among the vines in Berson. They are flanked on one side by a newly planted olive grove, and the whole setting feels designed for quiet mornings, long views and the kind of evening that only requires a bottle and a terrace.
The wine side is very much the point. Château Puynard is an organic, family-run Right Bank Bordeaux estate, focused on Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with newer plantings of Sémillon and Colombard for future white blends. Guests are staying right inside that working vineyard, not simply near it, which gives the whole experience a lovely sense of immediacy.
Each cabin has space for two people, with flexible twin-or-double setup, and has a perfect balance between comfort, thoughtful design and the quality of the products on site. This is Bordeaux stripped back to its nicest essentials: vines, silence, organic wine and a stay that feels intimate rather than staged.
