We’ve stayed in plenty of winery hotels in Chile, but
Viña La Playa Hotel in Colchagua Valley left us grinning from the moment we arrived. There’s something about driving through rows of vines, seeing the Andes shimmering in the distance, and knowing you’ll be sleeping right here among the grapes.
Our room looked straight out over the vineyard, and waking up to that view with felt indulgent to say the least. Days here are made for wandering - whether it’s strolling to the winery for a tasting, lounging by the pool with a Carménère in hand, or taking the bikes out to explore the valley.
The hotel's team made everything feel easy and personal, from setting up our private tour of the cellar to recommending a sunset spot by the river. If you want the real “stay in the vines” experience, this is it.
